OWOP plug Work in Progress

Daily Post Day 14: OWOP Progress & Writing Projects

I don’t particularly like Day 14’s topic, so here I am back with my regularly schedule topics of my own projects:

OWOP is going strong with Genie and Jose contributing alongside me; of course, would be nice to have more people onboard as well! Love seeing the different photographs from my contributors and would love to see more from others.

Writing projects are steady right now; the first half of this month has been more-or-less a lot of adjusting “back to the daily grind”. It’s a bit futile considering all this will change once again in a few months.

Up bright and early today to get some writing and reading in! Oh, and one last note: finished reading a friend’s draft of his novel last night. Will get a critique together over the weekend.

Daily Post Day 9: Recent AHA! Moment (OWOP)

Montana sunshine

A recent AHA! moment for me was when I was contemplating what to do with my then-new Posterous account. I had already joined Tumblr and decided on a theme there, but what to do with Posterous? I didn’t want to get bogged down with too many personal/miscellaneous blogs…

I was lying awake in bed and then I thought of One Word, One Picture: OWOP! But at that point I didn’t want to make it public since I wasn’t sure if this was an idea I wanted to keep up with.

I let it incubate for about a week. And then I realized 2011 was on the near horizon. Oh shoot, must start promoting OWOP!

Hence, the reason why I was blasting out announcements all across my social media accounts. Am still welcoming new participants! Project is good for now, but looks like it’s just me and Jose for the time being. Genie will be back, though.

Feel free to join in if you haven’t already!

#foodie editing Internet Novel 1 plug Twitter Work in Progress

More blogs, more progress, other updates…

I think I’m getting sucked into the blogosphere this year; within a week or so, I’ve started two additional blogs and there is another one coming soon (my writing blog/”blog book tour”). Let’s see if I will be able to keep up with all of these blogs in due time….

Anyway, yes, this morning I felt inspired to start a food blog: Cinnamon Juice. You’re probably wondering where the name came from, so that explanation will come soon enough. This blog will feature various food topics, including recipes, photos, additional insight on my Yelp! reviews, and so forth. Check it out if you can!

In other news, I have finished the initial step in the editing/revising of Novel 1, which was to figure out my story arc. Now, I’m working on a “movable outline” via Powerpoint, and hopefully will have a book synopsis ready for some of my confidantes to look at in the next week or so to help me figure out any plot holes and such. Progress is coming along well….

And, my Twitter has gone public again, after a month or so of being friends-only. Please feel free to follow me on Twitter now!

That’s about all for now; my arms have been hurting a bit at work due to a new desk chair. I sure hope I won’t be getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

New photo blog

Just a small announcement before I go off to bed: According to my 101 list, which I started last January, I am to participate in Photo 365 in 2009. I had attempted to participate in it in 2007, but gave up after a week or two. I was hesitant to participate in it this time around, but…I guess it doesn’t hurt to try again.

So anyway, I’ll be posting one photo per day, every day for this year over at this blog: Photo 365: 2009

Let’s see how long this will last.
