Daily Post Day 28: To Live Forever, or not?

I’m sure everyone thinks about this question a lot (Do you want to live forever?)

Without thinking, I would say “YES!” But, knowing how I work, I would end up over-thinking this question and realizing, “Oh no, I wouldn’t want to live forever.”

Think about it this way: If I were the ONLY person in the world to live forever (as a human, on this Earth), I wouldn’t want to be seeing generations of my loved ones passing away. That would be sad to see, although at the same time it’d be a glorious thing (to be able to meet so many of my descendants).

If EVERYONE were to live forever as humans on this Earth, that would be a different situation, and that would elicit a different response from me.

Then again, in my religion, we all DO live forever…at least our souls do. WHERE we live forever is a whole other question.

Daily Post Day 27: Music on a Stranded Island

Today’s topic:

If stranded on a desert island, and could only bring one music album with you, which would it be? What is it about this music that never gets old for you?

Desert island? Deserted, perhaps?

I’d bring along one of Dir en grey’s albums with me. Perhaps their most recent release, UROBOROS. The music always brings new life to my creative process and has a great mix of emotions throughout all the songs (though most emotions are the darker ones).

Somehow, Dir en grey’s music always calms me down, despite the fact that, to outsiders, their music sounds “too angry”.

Daily Post Day 26: Funny People in My Life

I know many funny people. But the three funniest in my life?

  1. My father
  2. My mother
  3. One of my sisters (L)

Of course, if I could “cheat” on this list, I’d say my whole family cracks me up. There are things that happen that sometimes makes me feel like we could have an unscripted reality tv show. My sisters and I said we would have to change our names to start with the same letter (a la the Kardashians).

Daily Post Day 25: An Ideal Sunday

(No, an ideal Sunday does not involve a pet snake)

Sundays to me remind me of sunny, relaxing days, no matter the season. A day for the rest of the world to rest, but my parents never got to rest on Sundays. Sundays were their busiest days at our family restaurant.

To me, an ideal Sunday would be just like any other day of rest: lots of time spent reading, catching up on everything else that I fell behind on during the week, and just relishing the time with my loved ones. Lazy Sunday, but also productive.

Daily Post Day 24: My Favorite Sound

Simple enough: my favorite sound is laughter. I love hearing how others laugh (and sometimes my own guffaw makes me want to laugh even more). Laughter is such a happy sound to listen to (well, as long as someone doesn’t have a high-pitched giggle….I don’t know if that’s really music to my ears).
