Do you believe everything happens for a reason? Why or why not?
Plain and simple, yes: everything happens for a reason. Even though at times I may ask, “Why? Was that even necessary in my life?” I later reflect on those moments and realize that yes, those moments were necessary to shape my life to what it is right now.
What are your thoughts on this matter? (I particularly like prompts like these)
I’ve been busy getting free books for my Kindle and transferring PDFs over to it; now, I have quite a few books/articles loaded onto the device and am reading a few titles all at the same time. Of course, this makes me move through the books a lot slower than if I read them one-by-one.
To top that off, I’m also reading one REAL book (as in, not on Kindle, a hardcover).
Never Eat Alone, by Keith Ferrazzi (this is the real book, hardcover)
Hmm, seems I like to read nonfiction these days. Plus, I’m doing some pre-IMBA prep by reading these books listed above (well, aside from the Kindle guide and Not Quite Adults). There are many more books to add to my pre-IMBA prep…but I’ll need to get through the aforementioned books first.
Oh, don’t we all wish for a time machine at points in our lives. I know for sure I’d want to go back in time to my earlier years and rearrange a few events around. But I know then that’ll affect the present and the future. As science fiction movies say, we’d only mess up what we currently have.
I would like to spend one hour in 1951. I’d be in China and I’d see how my grandparents and my father lived there. I’d uncover some family mysteries.
I don’t particularly like Day 14’s topic, so here I am back with my regularly schedule topics of my own projects:
OWOP is going strong with Genie and Jose contributing alongside me; of course, would be nice to have more people onboard as well! Love seeing the different photographs from my contributors and would love to see more from others.
Writing projects are steady right now; the first half of this month has been more-or-less a lot of adjusting “back to the daily grind”. It’s a bit futile considering all this will change once again in a few months.
Up bright and early today to get some writing and reading in! Oh, and one last note: finished reading a friend’s draft of his novel last night. Will get a critique together over the weekend.
